Digging out AND Digging in!

Morning Ladies! Just incase you were wondering where I have been......
Well we have gotten the weather THEY warned us about! We have had alot of snow here in the Midwest, and it is times like this that I wish we were not so close to Chicago...THE WINDY city!
After digging out from the snow yesterday ...THEY (the ones with the big wind machines) blew everything around again! So after digging out...from the snowfall the last few days I have had to re-dig out after last nights winds! I am thankful no one had their web cams on me ...as I was quite a pretty sight out there....we have such terrible wind chills that I could have made the Michelan Man appear malnourished! I believe in layering to stay warm...oh...and layer I did! So when my Daughter was looking for her hat and gloves...lol...I had to "expose" myself a bit...
I believe they may have been the second or third layer! Luckily she was content to stay in and found no sense of urgency to have to go somewhere! And what a wonderful excuse I had made for her NOT to come out and partake of the task!
Anyway...after digging out again and after the re-dig I decided to come in get warm ( Steeping pot of tea) and the DIG-IN to sewing and start to get some of the Faithful Frannie orders done. If you are not sure who Faithful Frannie is scroll down a few posts, she would love to meet you!

Stay warm..and if you happen to see THEM...the ones with the big wind machines..please tell them from me THEY can shut them off,or lower the velocity...or at least get it to blow into my neighbors empty lot!

  2. Oh, Jane! Too bad the wind machines didn't just blow you all the way to Florida so you could be basking on a beach. We've got the snow and frigid temps here too! We have the fireplace on and are holding up inside for the duration! If possible! ;-)

  3. Oh Lady Jane, ye have me laughing and laughing -- you are so droll!

I hope you will post pictures of each Frannie you make! They are so darling.

And if I see "Them," I will tell them to come down to Texas and point their big fans UP at your area and blow some warmth and sunshine your way!

  4. Jane, I'm so glad you're okay! I hate that you had to go out there and dig like that! I wish you could be down here with us. It's cold and supposed to go down again tonight, but we don't have snow. It was actually very nice today. I went to a wake for a friend, and we stood outside for a bit by the swimming pool (the wake was at a house by a lake which has a pair of swans and other ducks on it... we ere looking for the swans). Anyhow, I'm thinking of you and sending much love...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  7. Wondered where you been. I hope you have warmed up enough by now. My daughter lives in the Quad cities. How far would that be from you? She says it is cold there too. I love your sewing projects.

  8. Love your etsy shop. My hubby and I have been campground hosts at White Pines Forest State Park, near Oregon, the past 3 summers. We love that part of Illinois, and have explored so much of the state. Those wind turbines are all over; so far Indiana only has one county with them, and that county is on the Illinois state line, near El Paso. Don't go crazy now...surely winter will move on soon. It's -19 here this morning...and that's not the wind chill! Yikes.
