PINK SATURDAY CONFIRMATION

Hell ladies...we have a PINK SATURDAY CONFIRMATION! Monday my daughter Janelle went to the Dr. and her Ultra-sound tech gave us a 90% PINK CONFIRMATION!
Now you ALL know how this Grammy (first time ...sigh) was so hoping for a GIRL!
Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!

Also a little bit to share that will give you the warm fuzzies...Janelle being pregnant brings memories of my pregnancies to mind and I get so sad my Dad won't be here to share in the joy of his first great-granchild! I talk to my Dad on a regular basis though...and I told him "Gumpa
( what my girls always called him) our little Nell is having a baby...and she really wants a girl...and well you know I really love my little girls...so....IF...IF you have any connections...could you mention it ..perhaps..put a pink word in?"
Well I did not at all mention my conversation to my Dad with Janelle until after the ultrasound,we were having brunch when I told her...she smiled and then as we're getting up from the table Janelle said ...".Mom!!!! !Do you hear that????? I was already standing there...almost frozen....LISTEN MOM....and would you believe that the song that I always held in my heart for my Dad the song that played softly on the radio the day he passed away, the song at his funeral recession.....
There it was......"Wind Beneath My Wings!"

Thanks Dad....you always were my HERO...Your Grandaughters Hero.....
and trust me Dad...This new baby is going to love you too!
Thanks Dad!

  3. Congratulations on your new "pink" baby!! You and your daughter must be so excited. I am now a pro at the grandmother gig. My daughter has a three year old girl and a one year old boy! I LOVE being a grandmother!

Your post had me teary eyed reading about your dad. My dad died three years before my son was born and it makes me so sad that they never met. I did dream (when I was pregnant) that I saw my dad and told him. He gave me a hug and said "I know".

The same song played at my father's funeral. It always makes me think of him.

My heartfelt congratulations to your family!

    Happy 4th.

    take care,
    Dawn

  14. Wow, what a wonderful event. Your post brought back so many memories of my late son. I had a similiar experience on the internet the night he died. I was nervously watching the clock because my only other child was in a car traveling home to Texas from Florida. My Mickey sent me to a poem that told me that he would be okay. My DH read it at the celebration of life service for Mick. Then on the family visitation night, DH got in Mick's truck and a song came on that was another message from Mick. I still get chills when I hear it. We also used Wind Beneath My Wings at his service.
Thanks for a great post that I needed today.

DH lost his only brother early yesterday morning. Our son will be gone 6 years on Monday. Add to that, we had to have Mick's precious dog, Blackjack, put to sleep this week, and you can see that I really needed your inspiring post today. TFS
