If you are out and about early here on BLUE MONDAY you may not want to hold off a bit on sipping a Shirley Temple, although the pitcher is ready if you,d like one...Help Yourself!
Of perhaps you'd like a cup of coffee or tea....pots on...help yourself and have a little cream from my antique blue glass SHIRLEY TEMPLE CREAMER. I always loved Shirley Temple movies when I was a child, perhaps because her name was SHIRLEY" JANE" TEMPLE. Or perhaps because one of my favorite sonds was "ON The Good Ship Lollipop". So if you now have that lovely little song going through your head, with a sweet trip to the candy shop...I ask you to make one more "SWEET " stop AND....

Alright Lady Jane, did you somehow come over to my house and sneak my Shirley Temple pitcher from me? I will have to check with Helmi and ask her if she saw you. http://neabear.blogspot.com/2008/10/blue-monday-4.html See this post I did about the one at my house. I will have to go and look in my hutch and see if it is still there. I notice that Mrs Magpie is coveting your set too. Better watch out! She is thinking of tempting my Helmi with a jar of honey to distract her so she can take my bowls.
ReplyDeleteMy dad would always sing that song when I was a kid. Now I wont be able to get it out of my head. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your blog ~susan
I love your Shirley Temple glass. It would look great in my glass collection
ReplyDeleteJane, I forget to tell you... when I was little, I was at a convention with my parents. My birthday happened at the same time, and I had my first Shirely Temple cocktail! LOL! I thought I was SO grown up at age seven! ;-)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
