Sigh...Happy Blue Monday all you Blogging Blue Babes! Today I'm showing and sharing a project that makes me blue!!!!! Now how can a project make one blue you ask? See the lovely vines and beehive above? See the lovely vines stenciled above a door frame below?
See the little birdiehouse, sprinkling can and nest with little blue eggs that was above a shelf?See the little birdiehouse condo with detailed bluebirds of happiness flying among its blue roofs?
See this little bluebirdie about to fly south? This little detailed bluebirdie that well is ready to shall we say fly south? These are all stencils and some free-hand wall murals in my bedroom...my GARDEN bedroom that is about to be re-done! She is getting a new look...a much freshened up look...something ...updated and well...something that I will be able to share on a certain SATURDAY post!
Yep it is sigh....time to paint over all my hard work....time to redecorate and fluff my nest to a new re-freshing color! Although in 1995 when I did all this work...it WAS the "TREND" to do..and I did for almost 15 years enjoy it...so calm and relaxing even the blue-green background walls!
So...before I go...before I grab a brush sigh...before I open a can of primer...sigh...
I'm going to click one last time on the little bluebird above...so she can go visit all of the girls over at SMILING SALLYS our lovely hostess for BLUE MONDAY...so please click on her...give her a wonderful send off...AND HAPPY BLUE MONDAY to you all!
I'm so glad that you let your bluebird fly this one final Monday. Happy Blue one.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, what a cute post. The little bluebird had a great home for a long time and now...it is time to move on! Hahaaa...I'm pretty sure we are going to luvvvvv the "new" bedroom, too.
ReplyDeletehugs, bj
They are some cute blues and perhaps one blue bird will find a comfortable branch in a corner of the new room...just for old times sake.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new fresh nest!
Happy redo days ahead...Candy
Jane! I don't know how you can part with those precious blue birds, but I know that whatever you choose to do will be cute. I wish you still had those stencils because I would love to stencil above a door in St. Augustine. I've got a spot that's begging for a stencil. Those are adorable. You know me and birdhouses and blue birds!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do in its place. Thanks for sharing this with us. You do good work, my friend! And I understand the need for pink now! ;-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
Wait! If you haven't painted over them yet here's an idea I saw on HGTV. I think it was on Color Splash but don't quote me on that. Take close up photos of your favorite areas of the mural - oh I guess you did that already! Now you can frame your hard work and hang it as art! The blue birds would be especially pretty framed. Thanks for stopping by.

I doubt you'll be dissuaded, so I'll just say I can't wait to see what you do next. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember doing stenciling at our old home when our girls were little. You did a great job...hope your new plan brings you joy when you're done.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is sad! The bluebird is so pretty. Look forward to seeing your new look.
ReplyDeleteChristi
Poor little birdies...but I can't wait to see what comes next!
ReplyDeleteThat bird is so cute...but I understand about having a change....but the bird...is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThe bird is so cute and I'm looking forward to see what next.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday

What I was taught in art school: When you paint over something, it is not destroyed -- its spirit is freed into the universe. Did you know that? Bye for now, beautiful garden scene -- something else is about to be brought into being while you are off on a new adventure!!!
ReplyDeleteSo...the trick is...to fill your room full of the bluebird of happiness, and happy happy joy joy comes to stay...like forever, and ever? This is EXACTLY the color I had in mind to paint our bedroom!
ReplyDeleteNow...when you come to Indiana, bring all those lil' ol stencils, and we'll get busy. I could use some happy happy joy joy...there's just not enough of it to go around!
Love your artistic flair and talent sista....you've got it, you really do. Your work must be in great demand, and if its not...people are just nuts, or uninformed!
Howdy
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday to you Jane .
I don't know how your going to do this ,your a stronger woman than I am .
I will miss that precious blue bird who greeted me with so much love and happiness today, but I do know that sometimes in life we all have to move on and migrate in order to build a better nest.
So I wish you and your sweet bluebird all the very best in your new nesting endeavors.
Blessings to you for the rest of the week.
Happy Trails
Big Hugs
Your blue birds are darling! It is kind of sad to paint over all your hard work, but you'll like the new look just as well. I'm thinking it must gonna be pink, is it? You know you can always do what Dawn suggested. I've done that before and it works. Thanks for sharing your blue birds with us one last time and Happy Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
I'm posting about my bathroom repainting for GET R DONE this week - what a big project! I have to finish the 2nd coat of wall paint, then will be starting the re-working of the cabinets - ugh. I'd rather paint walls! I like your birdie - so "tweet"! Can hardly wait to see what you will do with your room! GET R DONNNNNE!
ReplyDeleteTaking pictures of your artwork is a good idea. I see you did that already. That is also suggested for all your kids drawings and projects if you are accumulating too many. Take picture and get rid of the project. Pictures take up less space, especially now with the digital age.
