PINK SATURDAY.....PINK JOY!

Happy Pink Saturday.....As project nursery continues...

Well...We've left the light on for her...our Jalina Rose ...expected November 1st.....
And her light could only be a precious chandelier that Grammy has re-done..some may remember it from a trash to treasure post...it was black with white shades....now it is a shabby sweet...complete with tulle and
tassel....
*******
And her matching accent lamp...to match....
Can you believe it is a 50 cent shade I painted and added the trim to to co-ordinate with the chandelier. The base of the lamp was $3.49 at the thrift store. Notice too the butterflies that flutter from the top of her valances!
nursery) that flutter from her valances!

Most of my regular blog buddies know about the princess canopy over her bed...we bought itat Ikea...but I enhanced it with tulle and ribbons and butterflies....

This is the current project I am working on...the mural (which for some reason the picture refuses to rotate...but details must be added, and the "flower"frames needed to be painted and hung(more are being added) The inspiration from the mural came from a branch that is on the Cocalo "SUGAR PLUM" bedding in her room...did you notice it on the crib siderail above?
And a peek of the rocker below it...that needs another coat of paint.

Sharing with you how I made my pattern for the branch(newspaper taped lightly to wall) that I then drew around.
I will share pictures of the completed mural next week. And hopefully the completed nursery...but for now...
HAPPY PINK SATURDAY.....Thanks for stopping in...let me know what you think....
There are more pics in yesterdays post of the room too if you would like to peek.
Please stop over at the Blog of our sweet hostess... Beverly...see all the pinks the girls are sharing....

  15. I came over to leave a comment this morning before I went to work and blogger would not let me. Let's see, what did I say....oh I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of how the nursery is coming together. You did an awesome job on the dresser, ignore those rolling eyes! LOL! The chandy is wonderful. So what is this about lifting stuff from me...what ....what...LOL! Anyway, when are you doing the baby shower? What kind of a bottle are you using for the game? Can you get back to me on details about that? I just might try to help you out there if I have enough time to.
    Let me know okay?

  24. For some reason, your blog never gets UPDATED in my Dashboard!!! I get last years post only! What gives? I check the updated blogs, but you never update!!! How do we fix that? Love your little touches to babys room - Can tell you are more than ready for her arrival!!!

  25. Howdy sista Jane...you never update on my dashboard either, and I have posts from last year just like Classy. I've reentered myself as a follower, numerous times, but it won't take. Very irritatin'.
Anyhooo...you're a marvy Grammy already. You deserve a GreatGramAward, which is nicely knitted, utilizing corgi fur droppings. Nice and soft, sort of an angora badge. Mine comes in black and white for some reason...hmmmm.
Your room of love is a little shrine already and is just so full of your heart. That little girlbaby is going to feel that love, and know she's one lucky little angel. Your talent is amazing, but it's the love that feeds your creativity, I'm thinking.
    Hugs! Enjoy these happy days.
