PINK SATURDAY..AND PRECIOUS..the nursery and my little girlfriends!

Well it is another beautiful pink Saturday with all the pinkies over at How Sweet the Sound.. with our dear hostess Beverly! Please click here to take you to the list of pinkie that participate! Well most of you know what is going on here at my house...Sigh...I am going to be a GRAMMY!!!!!

I have been sharing pictures of the nursery in progress..and the final touches are going in...like this sweet shelf that we have enhanced with a bit of trim to match the bedding! Hanging on a the peg is an adorable dress my cousin bought for Jalina Rose...we can hardly wait to see her in it..with of course the AMY COE shoes that a friend gave her that are little pink crocheted Maryjanes..complete with flowers on the toes! The mural complete with the flower picture frames that I shared with you in progress last week is complete...except for the pictures to be added to the frames. I painted a branch that is on the bedding and used the frames (from Micheals) to add to the fun...we can hardly wait to have pics of her with each one of us as our little family branches out!

My sweet little neighbor walked into the room...and exclaimed.."Oh my God...this should be in a magazine!"

So of course we were thrilled that someone besides us thinks it is wonderful!

Talking about neighbors and precious...and because I was afraid I;d be boring you with only posts about the Nursery..I am sharing with you pics of my two darling little neighbor babes...Alyssa and Addi..who can hardly wait for their new GIRLFRIEND to be here... it is adorable to hear them say Jalina Rose...and they are VERY excited to see their picture on her dresser already...

I had purchased a few vintage hats at a Estate Sale fpr my bedroom (the next project to bore you all with) and my two little girlfriends were happy to model them for you! Perhaps we shall have a cup of Tea...my Alyssa..my Addi and me...and wait for the BABY Jalina Rose to be!

Right now I'm going over to Beverlys to take her challenge and visit someone new..and blog about them next week! And to thank our dear Beverly for all this PINK fun! Happy PINK SATURDAY Girlfriends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is time to GET R DONE

Well here we are with another GET R DONE FRIDAY over al the blog of our friend Classy Chassy where we show pics of our completed projects...and the nursery is ALMOST done...so I will share today some of the projects...just a peek and tomarrow for pink saturday...I will post some more so stop back in.....

First we have a pic of the window topper...click to enlarge to see the beautiful butterflies ( the theme) that billow among the tulle bows.....

And oh...one of our favorite parts is the canopy that hangs above her crib...fit for a princess huh? I wish you could see the detail of the ribbons and tulle better...and the cord cover that matches her chandelier....
The canopy was VERY plain and simple from IKEA and with some fussin up from Grammy is just what we wanted...
You'll notice the butterflies here too if you click to enlarge...they are at the top and holding back the swags of the canopy!

Please don't mind the bag of clothes sitting in the crib...they will go into the lovely little dresser/hutch as soon as we finish lining the drawers with the "baby powder" drawer liner Grammy is making.

You can also see on the side rail the beautiful bedding from Cocalo called "Sugar Plum" that was our inspiration for the room! And last but not least is the confirming factor that she will be Jalina Rose...
I am still hand painting "details" on her name wall! The details will match the mural on another wall that I am painting.... So with so many details to finish on Project Nursery here..for now on this Get R Done Friday gal is going to paint!


Well all you little lurker friends...lol...the ones that are supposed to be waiting for the grand reveal....

CAUTION...WET PAINT...another T to T Nursery project!

Ok...Ladies...I am back...well I am back on a borrwed computer and have really missed participating in all the memes! BUT...the good news is that our PROJECT NURSERY is coming along!

Today I'm sharing a little TRASH to TREASURE...

ok...so the pic of the hutch that I saved from the neighbors burn pile is upside down....but you get the idea...actually it is laying on its side on the prep table outside.......but anyway.......

EVERYONE rolled their eyes when I said that it would be PERFECT for on top of the dresser (that was mine since 1977) and that it would give plenty of storage for the nursery!

Now...you know how a project gets when someone has rolled their eyes...and said it can not be done...oh SWEET PROJECT DETERMINATION....I'll show you all!

Now...there must have been a drawer...hmmmm...shall I make a drawer? or shall I just cut out the wood runner there for the purpose of a drawer?????

Hmmmmm......I have another trash to treasure project for the top of the dresser that is taller and needs more space anyway.....so...hacksaw...here goes.....wood filler....here goes....sanding...here goes.....MORE sanding...keep going.....primer...here goes.....paint here goes....... screw that baby on top of the dresser......

And what do you know......ADORABLE........there to you all whom rolled your eyes.....

And lol...they thought I'd never use a laptop either......

Ok....while I go paint the sweet little rocker ( see it in the pic near the ALMOST finished hutch)you all go over and visit our dear hostes to see more treasures!
