My carolers in a vintage red suitcase are singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas",and of course a "Happy New Year".
The suitcase contains vintage sheet music, musical gold ornaments, ribbon and a miniature Christmas Carol book. It is really cute displayed on a round table in my living room, but the lighting there was not good for a picture...sorry!
We will have a quiet Christmas , I will be cooking at my house in the morning and taking everything to my Mom's as she can't make it into my house anymore. The ramp of her wheelchair is covered with about 3 inches of solid ice thanks to our lovely Midwest weather so if I have to get her out soon it will have to be in a one horse open sleigh!
When we pack everything to go to Grandma's house we take on the look of Little Red Riding Hood,I have about 3 antique picnic baskets we pack everything in and off to Grandmothers we go! A far cry from the big Italian Christmas we always had,but the memories are there, and as new memories are made...LOL..not everyone will pack a "picnic" Christmas this year.
I have hung up my antique tea cup, vintage gloves and vintage holiday hat in anticipation of all the after Holiday Tea Parties.......
The top of my China Cabinet holds some of my Santa collection...with of course..our favorite Cookies for Santa plate. At 26 and 29 I don't know that my girls will leave cookie for Santa, but I will, because the "little girl" in me still Believes!
I leave you with the Magic of Christmas......
I love your carolers, and I love you and Tommy Tinker, too! :-)

ReplyDeleteGosh, I love your carolers...they are just so sweet. Next year, next year, I hope to have carolers ( I may have to resort to some of my own handiwork as Santa apparently has had difficulty the last few years reading the word...CAROLERS lol )
