The day was full of tears of joy for Janelle....to the right is a picture of her fighting back tears as she has just opened a Fischer Price Radio that was hers. We had wrapped it with a special poem I had written for her that when she holds her baby for the first time to know that her baby comes with an extra kiss from heaven. Although this radio was hers...her Gumpa (whom will send Jalina Rose with that extra special kiss from heaven) used to tease her with it...and finally at two years old...with her hands on her hips she proclaimed to him that he could just "Keep it!" The radio and the memories had been packed away for years...and today sits proudly on a shelf in Jalina's room! Ok...before I start to cry here...I know my Dad would be so proud of Jalina Rose!
Janelle reccieved so many fun gifts for Jalina Rose...even a pink Christmas tree for her room! My BFF Vicki ( whom is a regular lurker here on my blog) gave Janelle...along with pink lights...princess ornaments...clay ornaments a pink bling bling topper and crocheted tree skirt! This gift is such to be a future "Pink Saturday" post! Everyone thought it was an adorable shower gift idea!
We are so blessed to gave so many wonderful friends in our life...my dear bloggie friend Linnea from neabears sewing and craft mess sent us a lovely tag that she cross stiched! The tag matches Jalina's room perfectly and I attached it to a baby bottle full of buttons for the "Cute as a Button" guessing came where guests had to guess the number of buttons in the bottle! Right click to enlarge and see the game slips in the photo! A very heartfelt thank you to dear Linnea...the tag now is hanging as a true treasure in Jalina's room!
Another package full of baby and recieving blankets came from my dearest bloggie buddie Holly over at Ol' Dame Penniwigs blog....to make one of the blankets a keepsake...we used it as a "sign in" at the shower. We had everyone sign a message on it for Jalina..we will surely treasure this for years! Thanks my dear Penniwig!

Lady Jane I cannot believe how close the special day is. Oh how time goes by.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was pregnant, 3 times, it went by sooooooo slow. Funny when it's someone else it goes by with a blink of an eye.
So happy for you.
I will await your news.
Happy Belated PS
